Reverse Circulation Drilling Machine/rig is a kind of Drilling Equipment/rig using reverse circulation drilling method. In this method, drilling fluid is pumped into the drill pipe and cuttings are brought back to the surface through the annulus between the drill pipe and the well wall.
A reverse circulation rig usually consists of drill pipe, drill bit, mud pump and mud tank. The drill pipe is connected to the drill bit at the bottom, and the mud pump is used to pump the drilling fluid into the drill pipe. The drilling fluid then flows out of the bit, carrying cuttings with it into the wellbore.
The cuttings are brought back to the surface through the annulus between the drill pipe and the shaft wall. They are then separated from the drilling fluid in the mud tank, which is recycled back into the system.
Reverse circulation drilling is commonly used in mining and exploration drilling because it allows for faster drilling and better control of the drilling process. It is also commonly used in Geothermal Drilling and water well drilling.
