Gas lift reverse circulation
Drilling Equipment is a kind of equipment that uses gas medium for drilling. In the traditional drilling method, the drill pipe moves the bit by circulating the pressure of the mud, while the gas lift reverse circulation drill moves the bit by the pressure of the gas.
Air lift reverse circulation drill works by injecting gas (usually compressed air) into the drill pipe to form an air cushion, and the pressure of the air cushion drives the drill bit to rotate. At the same time, drilling waste and cuttings are discharged from the well head along with the gas to achieve reverse circulation.
Compared to traditional circulating mud RIGS, the gas lift reverse circulation drill has the following advantages:
Fast drilling speed: the gas pressure is higher, which can provide greater rotary power and improve the drilling speed.
Environmentally friendly: do not use mud, reduce the pollution to the environment.
Reduce drilling costs: no mud circulation system is required, reducing the cost of equipment and materials.
However, gas-lift reverse circulation RIGS also have some limitations:
Limited drilling depth: Due to the limited pressure of the gas, the gas lift reverse circulation rig is suitable for shallow well depths.
Low drilling accuracy: The control performance of gas lift reverse circulation drilling rig is relatively poor, and it is difficult to achieve high-precision drilling.
